This calculator shows the traditional link between your numbers, their planets and their stones. It does not tell you to wear a stone. A gemstone (ratna) strengthens its planet, and a planet that is weak or troublesome in your Kundli can make a stone unsuitable even when it matches your Mulank. Namieta suggests a gemstone only after checking your chart. Crystals are a gentler choice to keep at home or at work.

How the gemstone is linked to your date of birth

1. Find your Mulank (Moolank) and Bhagyank from your date of birth.
2. Find their ruling planets: 1 Sun, 2 Moon, 3 Jupiter, 4 Rahu, 5 Mercury, 6 Venus, 7 Ketu, 8 Saturn, 9 Mars.
3. Match each planet to its traditional ratna:

4. Crystal alternatives are listed for each planet. They are traditionally chosen as reminders of an intention, such as moonstone for the Moon or amethyst for Saturn, and can be kept on a desk or in a room.
