What name correction means
In Indian numerology your name has a number, and that number should get along with the numbers of your date of birth. When it does not, a small change in spelling can move the name number to one that suits you better without changing how the name sounds. This is called name correction.
This calculator shows where your current spelling stands and which small changes would help. Its suggestions are for you to discuss with Namieta, not a final answer. A correction also has to sound right, sign easily and work on the documents where you will use it.
How the calculator checks your name
- Chaldean name number: each letter gets its Chaldean value (A I J Q Y = 1, B K R = 2, C G L S = 3, D M T = 4, E H N X = 5, U V W = 6, O Z = 7, F P = 8). The values are added and reduced to one digit.
- Your date numbers: your Mulank (Moolank) and Bhagyank are worked out from your date of birth.
- Fit: the name number is paired with your Mulank and with your Bhagyank in the traditional planet friendship table. Good or excellent with both is supportive; average with one is neutral; difficult or challenging with either needs review.
- Spelling variants: the calculator tries small changes to each word: a long vowel (a to aa, i to ee, u to oo), a doubled consonant, a final a added or dropped, or a silent h at the end. Changes to your first name are preferred over the surname, and one change is preferred over two.
- Ranking: the variants that improve the fit are ranked by verdict first, then by the smallest change. At most eight are shown.

How does the name correction calculator work?
It adds the Chaldean values of the letters in your name, reduces the total to one digit and compares that number with your Mulank and Bhagyank. It then tries small spelling changes, scores each new name number the same way and ranks them by fit.
What kind of spelling changes does it suggest?
Only small ones that keep the name recognisable: a long vowel (a to aa, i to ee), a doubled consonant, a final a added or dropped, or a silent h at the end. It changes the first name before the surname.
Should I start using a suggested spelling straight away?
No. The suggestions are a starting point to discuss with Namieta. A good correction also has to sound right, be easy to sign and work on the documents and places where you will use it.
My current name already suits my numbers. Do I need a change?
Usually not. If your name number is already rated supportive with both your Mulank and Bhagyank, the calculator says so and the spellings it shows are only for comparison.
