Who this reading is for

You feel your name works against you

Things feel harder than they should, and you want to check whether your name number clashes with your birth numbers.

You are changing your name anyway

After marriage, for a professional or stage name, or for a new start. It makes sense to choose a spelling that suits your numbers before it goes on documents.

You want a small correction, not a new name

A spelling change can be as small as one added or doubled letter, so your name still sounds the same to everyone who knows you.

What a name change reading covers

The reading starts with the name you have now and ends with spellings you can actually use.

Your current name number

Each letter gets its Chaldean value: A, I, J, Q, Y = 1; B, K, R = 2; C, G, L, S = 3; D, M, T = 4; E, H, N, X = 5; U, V, W = 6; O, Z = 7; F, P = 8. No letter is 9. The total is reduced to one digit.

Western name numbers

Your Expression (all letters), Soul Urge (vowels) and Personality (consonants) numbers, worked out with Pythagorean values.

The match with your birth numbers

Your name number is compared with your Moolank and Bhagyank, using the friendship between their ruling planets.

Recommended spellings

A shortlist of spellings whose numbers suit your date of birth, keeping the sound of your name wherever possible.

Your reason for the change

Career, business, marriage or a fresh start. The suggestions take into account why you want the change.

Using the new spelling

Where to start using it, such as your signature, email and social media, and what to think about before changing it on official documents.

How the reading works

  1. Send your names and date of birth

Your full name as on documents, the name you use, your date of birth and your reason, on WhatsApp.

  2. Namieta tests your name

Your current name is worked out letter by letter and checked against your Moolank and Bhagyank.

  3. Choose your spelling

If a change helps, you get spelling options to choose from. You decide which one, if any, to use.

Common questions

Which method do you use to calculate a name number?

The Chaldean method. Each letter gets a value from 1 to 8 (no letter is 9), the values are added, and the total is reduced to one digit. The Pythagorean Expression, Soul Urge and Personality numbers are checked as well.

Do I have to change my name legally?

No. You can start by using the new spelling in your signature, email and social media. Changing it on Aadhaar, PAN or your passport is a separate official process, so think it through before you apply.

Will my name sound different?

Not necessarily. The aim is to keep the sound of your name, for example by adding or doubling a letter. If no small change works for your numbers, the reading explains why and what your options are.

Should I check my name after marriage?

Yes, if you are taking a new surname or a new first name. Send both your old and new full name with your date of birth, and the new name is checked before you start using it everywhere.

Can a name change solve all my problems?

No. A name that suits your numbers can support you, but it does not replace effort, or medical, legal or financial advice. Think of it as one part of the picture.

Can you check a business or brand name too?

Yes. That is done through Business Company Name Numerology, which checks a company name against the owner's birth numbers.
