Enter the number exactly as it is on the plate or the RC, for example MH 31 AB 1234. Nothing you enter is stored: the result is worked out in your browser.
Method
The state code (MH), the RTO code (31 and 49 are both Nagpur codes) and the series letters are shared with many other vehicles. The number at the end is your vehicle’s own, so the calculator reads it by default and reduces your gaadi number to one digit from 1 to 9, each with a ruling planet.
Matching with you. Each pair scores 0 to 4: friend 2 points, neutral 1, enemy 0, checked both ways. Both pairs good or excellent (3 or 4) is Supportive; a weaker pair of average (2) is Neutral; a pair of 1 or 0 is Needs review, and the numbers that suit both of yours are listed.
An owner born on 21-03-1985 has two registration numbers to choose from for a new car, and also checks her scooter. Moolank: 2 + 1 = 3 (Jupiter). Bhagyank: 2 + 1 + 0 + 3 + 1 + 9 + 8 + 5 = 29 → 11 → 2 (Moon).
Option 1 (MH 31 FK 4527) adds up to 9, Mars, which is excellent with her Moolank and good with her Bhagyank. Option 2 adds up to 4, Rahu, which is difficult with her Bhagyank. The numbers that suit both her Moolank and Bhagyank are 1, 2, 3 and 9.
Both cars give 5 on the full plate, because the shared state, RTO and series characters carry most of the total. That is why the calculator starts with the main number and shows the full-plate result beside it. If the two disagree, ask Namieta which to go by.

Buying a car or bike
When you buy a new vehicle, the RTO allots the next available number in the series unless you ask for a particular one, often called a choice number or fancy number. The process, charges and available numbers are set by your state transport department and change from time to time, so check the current rules with your RTO or dealer before you plan around a specific number.
Shortlist a few numbers that add up to something that suits you, and run each through the calculator with your date of birth.
The number you want may already be taken. More than one suitable option saves a last-minute choice at the dealer.
Many families also pick the day they book or take delivery. The lucky date calculator shortlists dates that suit your numbers.
If no supportive number is available, a neutral one is a reasonable choice.

If your number does not suit you
Do not panic or rush to sell. “Needs review” means the planets of your vehicle number and birth numbers are not natural friends. It is one input, not a prediction of trouble on the road.
Check whose numbers you used. For a family car, use the date of birth of the main driver, and check the registered owner as well.
Look at the full-plate result. Some numerologists read the whole plate, letters included, so see what it gives for you.
Follow the practical notes. Regular servicing for 4 and 8, calm driving for 9. Good maintenance and careful driving matter more than any number.
Ask before you change anything. Changing the number of a vehicle you own is rarely practical. Namieta can suggest simple remedies that suit your chart and help you plan the number for your next vehicle.
This calculator follows the Indian approach: the number is reduced to one digit, linked to its planet (1 Sun, 2 Moon, 3 Jupiter, 4 Rahu, 5 Mercury, 6 Venus, 7 Ketu, 8 Saturn, 9 Mars) and judged by how that planet gets along with the planets of your Moolank and Bhagyank. Letters, when counted, use the Chaldean chart.
Western numerology usually reads the number’s meaning on its own, gives letters Pythagorean values (A J S = 1 and so on) and often compares the result with the owner’s Life Path number. If you follow that system, compare the digit shown here with your result from the Life Path calculator.

FAQ
By default, the number at the end of the plate (one to four digits), for example 4527 in MH 31 FK 4527. The state code, RTO code and series letters are shared with many other vehicles, so the last number is treated as your vehicle’s own. You can tick “Use the full plate” to count every digit and letter instead.
Numerologists differ. The calculator shows both: the main number, and the full plate with letters by the Chaldean chart (M = 4, H = 5). If they disagree, ask Namieta which to follow.
Use the date of birth of the person who drives the car most, then check the registered owner too. A car or bike number can suit one family member and not another, because it is matched with each person’s own Moolank (मूलांक) and Bhagyank (भाग्यांक).
For a Bharat series plate such as 24 BH 3618 C, the first two digits are the year and the four digits after BH are the number. The calculator adds those four digits: 3 + 6 + 1 + 8 = 18 → 9. With the full-plate option, the year, the letters B, H and C and the number are all added, which gives 7 for this plate.
There is no single lucky number for everyone. A vehicle number is called shubh for you when its planet is friendly with the planets of both your Moolank and Bhagyank. For example, someone with Moolank 3 and Bhagyank 2 gets 1, 2, 3 and 9 as numbers that suit both. The calculator lists yours when your current number is not supportive.
Yes. A bike, scooter, car or commercial vehicle number is read the same way and matched with the rider’s or owner’s date of birth. Short numbers work too: a plate ending in 7 gives 7.
No, not on the strength of a calculator alone. Check the full-plate result and the main driver’s date of birth, keep the vehicle well maintained and drive carefully. If you are still worried, ask Namieta.
