Method
The calculator uses the Indian method. Each number from 1 to 9 has a ruling planet: 1 Sun, 2 Moon, 3 Jupiter, 4 Rahu, 5 Mercury, 6 Venus, 7 Ketu, 8 Saturn and 9 Mars. A date suits you when its planets are friendly with the planets of your Moolank and Bhagyank, using the traditional (naisargika) planet friendship table: friend 2 points, neutral 1, enemy 0, added for both directions.
Each date’s score is the total of its pairs, out of 16 for one person and 32 for a couple. One pair at 0 is enough to stop a date being good, however high the average.
Anjali, born 23-06-1988, has Moolank 5 and Bhagyank 1 (2 + 3 + 0 + 6 + 1 + 9 + 8 + 8 = 37 → 10 → 1). Here are three dates from February 2027, worked out by the calculator:
6 February has a good average, but Venus (6) regards the Sun (1) as an enemy and the Sun returns it, so that pair scores 0 and the date stays neutral. Across the whole month Anjali gets 7 good dates (1, 5, 10, 14, 19, 23 and 28), 18 neutral and 3 to avoid (4, 13 and 22).
Now Anjali checks the same month with Rahul, born 14-08-1994: Moolank 5 (1 + 4 = 5), Bhagyank 9 (1 + 4 + 0 + 8 + 1 + 9 + 9 + 4 = 36 → 9). Every date now has 8 pairs and a score out of 32.
7 February has two of its 8 pairs at 0. For a couple a date is marked avoid only at 3 zeros (for one person it is 2), so it stays neutral. The good dates for the couple are 1, 5, 10, 14, 19, 23 and 28 February, and the dates to avoid are 4, 13 and 22.
Meanings
A date carries the nature of its planets. The table below gives the general nature of each number when it appears as a day number or date total. These are general associations only: the calculator itself does not prefer any number for any occasion. It marks a date good or not purely by how its numbers get along with yours.
So a 6 date (Venus) is not automatically a wedding date. If your own numbers are 1 or 2, Venus is not friendly with them, and the calculator will show that.
Using the calendar
The calendar works the same way for every event; what changes is whose date of birth you enter. Shortlist the good dates, drop any that do not suit family or travel, then have the final few checked for a muhurat.
Enter both dates of birth and check two or three months, noting every good date. A longer shortlist leaves room once the muhurat, venue and both families’ plans are considered.
Use the couple mode as for a wedding. An engagement is usually easier to move, so aim for a good date rather than settling for neutral. The ring ceremony time itself comes from the muhurat.
Enter the date of birth of the person who owns the home, or both spouses if it is jointly theirs. A date that suits you is a good start; the house number and the Vastu of the home are checked separately.
Enter the owner’s date of birth, or two partners using the partner field. Pick a good date for the opening or udghatan, and check that the business name suits the owner as well.
Enter the date of birth of the person who will own and mainly use the vehicle. Use the good dates for booking or delivery and the vahan pooja, and check the registration number once it is allotted.

This calculator looks only at numbers: your date of birth and the date on the calendar. A muhurat is something different. It is worked out from the Panchang (tithi, nakshatra, yoga, karana and vaar) and from the Kundli of the people involved, and it gives an auspicious time window on a day, not just the day itself.
Families who follow the Panchang may also avoid certain periods altogether, for example kharmas, or when Venus or Jupiter is combust (Shukra or Guru asta). A date can be good by numerology and still fall in such a period. That is why the two are checked separately, and the calculator should be used to shortlist dates, not to fix them.
Namieta does both. She can shortlist dates from your numbers and work out a muhurat from the Panchang and your Kundli, so the date and the time agree. Share your dates of birth (and birth time and place for the Kundli) and the months you are considering.

FAQ
Enter your date of birth and choose a month. The calculator works out your Moolank and Bhagyank, then checks every date in that month against them and marks it good, neutral or avoid. The best dates are listed below the calendar.
Yes. Add your partner’s date of birth and each date is checked against both of your Moolank and Bhagyank numbers, 8 pairs in all. A date is good only if no pair scores 0 and the average is at least 2.5; it is marked avoid when 3 or more pairs score 0.
No. Numerology uses only dates of birth and the calendar date. A shubh muhurat is worked out from the Panchang and the Kundli and gives a time on the day. Use this calculator to shortlist dates, then have the muhurat checked.
Both date numbers depend on the day reduced to one digit, and 1, 10, 19 and 28 all reduce to 1. So within the same month they always get the same result. The pattern changes from month to month and year to year because the date total changes.
Then the calculator shows the closest neutral dates, ranked by score. Try the next month or two, as the result changes every month. If the event cannot move, Namieta can look at the neutral dates together with a muhurat.
Not on the basis of this calculator alone. Avoid means several of your number pairs clash on that date. Speak to Namieta before changing anything, especially if a muhurat has already been fixed.
