A lucky mobile number, in numerology, is a number whose digits add up to a total that suits your own date of birth. There is no lucky number that works for everyone: the same number can be supportive for one person and a poor fit for another. This guide shows how to check a number and how to compare numbers when you are choosing a new SIM, a business number or a fancy number.
How to check if a mobile number is lucky for you
- Find your Mulank (Moolank) and Bhagyank. Mulank is the day of the month you were born, reduced to one digit. Bhagyank is your full date of birth added up and reduced. The Mulank and Bhagyank calculator shows both.
- Add the ten digits of the mobile number. Leave out +91 and any leading 0, then keep adding until one digit is left. For 98765 43210 the total is 45, and 4 + 5 = 9.
- Compare the total with both numbers. If it sits well with your Mulank and your Bhagyank, the number is supportive. If it clashes with either, it needs review.

Worked example: choosing between numbers
Rahul was born on 22/04/1989. His Mulank is 4 (2 + 2) and his Bhagyank is 8 (2 + 2 + 0 + 4 + 1 + 9 + 8 + 9 = 35 → 8). For his date of birth, totals of 4, 5, 6 and 8 sit well with both numbers.
He is choosing between these sample numbers:
| Number | Digit total | Reduced | With Mulank 4 | With Bhagyank 8 | Result |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| 98765 43210 | 45 | 9 | Difficult | Challenging | Needs review |
| 98765 43213 | 48 | 3 | Average | Average | Neutral |
| 98765 43214 | 49 | 4 | Excellent | Excellent | Supportive |
| 98765 43218 | 53 | 8 | Excellent | Excellent | Supportive |
| 98000 00123 | 23 | 5 | Good | Good | Supportive, but five zeros |
98765 43214 and 98765 43218 are the strongest choices for Rahul. 98000 00123 also adds up well, but it has five zeros, which many numerologists prefer to avoid.
Not every date of birth has a total that suits both numbers. Neha, born 09/11/1995, has Mulank 9 and Bhagyank 8. No single total is supportive with both, so the best she can choose is a total whose overall result is neutral, such as 3 or 6. In a case like hers, a personal reading is worth it before buying a fancy number.
The numbers above are samples for illustration. The pairings come from the same table the calculator uses.
Tips before you buy a new number
- Check the number before you pay for it. Fancy and VIP numbers cost more, so check the total for your own date of birth first.
- Keep a working number if it is neutral. Changing a number you have used for years has a real cost: contacts, bank alerts, work. A neutral number is not a bad one.
- Business numbers: use the owner’s date of birth, and check the business name at the same time.
- Look at the whole picture. Your Lo Shu grid shows which numbers are missing in your date of birth, which is worth checking alongside the mobile total.

Lucky mobile number: common questions
How do I find my lucky mobile number by date of birth?
Work out your Mulank (the day you were born, reduced to one digit) and your Bhagyank (the full date added up). Then add all ten digits of a mobile number and reduce the total to one digit. A number is a good choice when that total sits well with both. The mobile number calculator does all three steps.
Which mobile number total is the luckiest?
There is no single lucky total for everyone. A total that suits one person can be a poor fit for another, because it is always compared with that person's own Mulank and Bhagyank.
Should I change my current number if it does not match?
Not necessarily. A number you have used for years is tied to your contacts, bank and work. Check it first; if it is neutral rather than a poor fit, many people keep it. If you are choosing a new SIM or a business number anyway, it makes sense to pick one that matches.
Do zeros in a mobile number matter?
Zeros add nothing to the total. Many numerologists prefer numbers with few zeros, and the calculator flags numbers with three or more. Whether it matters for you is worth asking Namieta.
What if no total suits both my Mulank and Bhagyank?
For some dates of birth no single digit is a good fit for both numbers. Then the usual choice is a total whose overall result is neutral, and a personal check is worth it before you buy a fancy number.
